Misleading emails are being sent under the Omniva name
International technology and logistics company Omniva has recently received an increasing number of reports about misleading emails sent in the company’s name. The emails claim that a parcel is waiting in a parcel locker and include a tracking number, the parcel machine address, storage time and pickup code. We warn that these are not official Omniva notifications: scammers are using the company’s name to mislead recipients.
“At first glance, such an email can easily be mistaken for a genuine parcel pickup notification, so it is important to stay alert even when the message contains specific and seemingly reliable parcel information. In this case, all the emails reported to us contain the same parcel number and are sent from the omnivia.lt domain, while our official domains are omniva.lt, omniva.lv and omniva.ee. There is only a one-letter difference, which can easily go unnoticed when you are in a hurry,” says Liepa Žvaliauskaitė, Communications Specialist at Omniva.
We remind customers that if there is any doubt about a message they have received, parcel information can always be checked in the official Omniva app or on our website.
