Omniva Launches New Crowd Delivery Model in Lithuania

The logistics and parcel delivery group Omniva is introducing a new delivery concept in Vilnius and Kaunas — the Crowd Delivery model, built around an open courier network. The company has begun recruiting crowd couriers, independent partners who can choose when and where in the city they want to deliver parcels, similar to how food delivery platforms operate.

Omniva emphasizes that the work of crowd couriers will complement, not replace, the company’s existing parcel collection and delivery processes. The initiative aims to make parcel delivery even faster and more convenient for customers.

“We want to enhance the customer experience, especially during peak seasons when parcel volumes increase, while also testing a more flexible delivery model, “says Tadas Drunga, Team Lead of Omniva Lithuania.

The Crowd Delivery model is already being piloted in Tallinn and Riga, where nearly 150 crowd couriers have joined the network.

Individuals aged 18 or older who hold a driver’s license, own a car, and have a self-employment certificate or business license are welcome to join the network as crowd couriers.
