Omniva Temporarily Suspends Parcel Deliveries to Middle Eastern Countries

As of March 3, logistics and parcel delivery company Omniva is temporarily suspending the acceptance of parcels destined for Middle Eastern countries.

It is temporarily not possible to send parcels to the United Arab Emirates (including Dubai and Abu Dhabi), Bahrain, Israel, Iraq, Iran, Jordan, Qatar, Kuwait, Lebanon, Oman, and Saudi Arabia. The restrictions apply to all parcels.

“Unfortunately, we are seeing that air transport to the region is being suspended due to the threat of military activity in the airspace. Many flights have been canceled or are being canceled, and Omniva is currently unable to guarantee parcel delivery. Therefore, like other Western countries, we are suspending parcel deliveries until the situation stabilizes. We apologize to our customers for the inconvenience and thank them for their understanding,” commented Omniva’s Chief Commercial Officer, Sven Kukemelk.

Parcels that have already been accepted from senders but have not yet been dispatched will be stored by Omniva until transportation resumes. Senders may contact the company’s customer service center if they wish to have their parcel returned. Parcels that have already been dispatched will be delivered to their destination as soon as possible; however, delivery may take longer than originally expected.

Omniva will announce when parcel deliveries to the Middle East resume.
