Today, Minister of Regional and Rural Affairs Hendrik Johannes Terras, upon the proposal of the nomination committee, appointed Rainer Rohtla as the new Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Eesti Post AS.

Terras stated that Rainer Rohtla brings extensive leadership experience, currently serving as the Chairman of the Management Board of Coop Eesti Central Association and Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Coop Bank. In addition, he has led the pan-Baltic warehousing and logistics company Via 3L and the international courier company DPD Estonia.
“I commend the nomination committee’s choice. Rainer has long-standing leadership experience in companies whose fields of activity overlap with Eesti Post — logistics and courier services. In his current position, Rainer also shares a highly relevant mission with Eesti Post — to help maintain vibrant life across all of Estonia while ensuring the company’s efficiency and profitability. I wish him great success in this role,” the minister said.
Rainer Rohtla commented that taking on the role of Chairman of the Supervisory Board comes with great responsibility. “Eesti Post operates in a rapidly changing economic environment where consumers expect increasingly high-quality and faster services in a highly competitive market. In addition, as a state-owned enterprise, Eesti Post carries the responsibility of bringing the world closer to residents all across Estonia, both in cities and rural areas, while also providing an important public service as a mail carrier. We all understand how essential the availability of everyday services is. Eesti Post plays a very important role in this, alongside other Estonian companies that continuously contribute to creating and maintaining a good living environment in smaller communities outside the major cities. At the same time, Eesti Post has grown into an international company employing more than 2,400 people. I believe that as Chairman of the Supervisory Board, I can help build trust among customers and employees and support the rapid improvement of cooperation between Eesti Post and the ministry,” said Rohtla.
